Nurul graduated from University of Melbourne with Bachelor of Commerce, and obtained certifications as Chartered Accountant (Australia) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
She started her career in KPMG Information Risk Management, before moving to PETRONAS Group Internal Audit.
She escaped the corporate cage in April 2010, and is currently enjoying her freedom and exciting life as Founder CEO of Thrift Solutions, specializing in Internet Marketing, Holiday Rentals and Entrepreneur Workshops.

- University of Melbourne Alumni Association in Malaysia: Secretary 2009-2013, Young Alumni Committee 2008-2009
- JCI Petaling Jaya: Immediate Past President 2014, President 2013, Executive VP & JCI Youth Advisor 2012, VP Business 2011.
